The Amalgamation of Baby Paraphernalia

June 16, 2008 12:10 by Big Momma

I'm in the throws of my nesting phase and I spent the last weekend making a list of remodeling projects we need to finish up before we start on the nursery (which is emblazened in 1970's fashion). I've also started a list of baby gear that friends and family have offered to throw our way...and have come to the conclusion that our big house may not be big enough for all this crap. There is a lot of baby paraphernalia, and we're even trying to go the minimalist route, but apparently I cannot live without the bouncy seat and the baby swing and the bumbo. Also for gear that puts us on the move, popular consensus is that I need a baby sling, and a baby Bjorn, and a jogging stroller and a more compact umbrella stroller. I guess we'll be filling up the garage we just reorganized to allow for parking.

Over the weekend I was also mapping out how we'd arrange all the nursery furniture in the baby's room, when I came to the conclusion that the hubby will need to pack up his version of the star ship Enterprise and move his office, which is the largest of the three guest rooms, into one of the smaller chambers. I hope he takes the news well...he should understand, its not like his office and the garage is where he spends all his time. On second thought...
