Searching for Daycare

August 20, 2008 06:11 by Big Momma

I thought looking for a daycare facility would be rather depressing. I took a tour of another facility yesterday and was pleasantly surprised at my reaction. The idea of leaving my baby in the care of someone else isn't so alarming. At 8 mos preggo, I'm having reverse separation anxiety. Meaning, I can't wait for someone else to take care of this little boy, cause this body is growing more tired, soar and cranky by the day. If you know an expectant mom who is bemoaning the idea of putting her baby into daycare, advise her to look at facilities in her last trimester...she will be receptive to the idea, if not excited at the thought that someone else will take care of the babe in exchange for cash.

I have an image of me and the hubby in the delivery room, the baby finally makes his arrival, then the Dr. puts the baby on my chest, and I yell at the hubby, "YOU take him, I've been holding him for 10 mos!" I'm hoping I am graced with some sort of maternal patience during the delivery process, otherwise in my excitement to be able to breathe again, I might forget about the little bugger. In the meantime, I may need to join a support group for exhausted and sarcastically resentful new moms.
